It is like a dream that we wake up from,
feeling lost and confused
Wondering how we were so easily used
It's a mirage that we chased
A fantasy that we thought was based
On reality, but was just a lie
Leaving us broken, asking why
We gave our hearts and our trust
Only to find out it was all a bust
The love we thought we had
Was just a game, a passing fad
Love that was fake
Is a wound that's hard to shake
Leaving scars on our hearts and souls
Reminding us of what we lost, and what we'll never hold
But we must learn to heal and move on
To find the love that truly belongs
With someone who will cherish and adore
