Somewhere in India |
We built a bridge with words and dreams,
Spanning oceans, rivers, and silent streams.
A love so vast it could touch the stars,
Yet crumbled beneath the weight of scars.
Distance became a shadowy thief,
Stealing moments, birthing grief.
What once was laughter turned to sighs,
Our voices fading into lies.
Ego stood tall, a wall between,
A fortress built on words unseen.
Pride, the poison, that made us part,
A dagger aimed at a tender heart.
The fights began as sparks of pain,
And grew to storms of endless rain.
Each word a wound, each silence cold,
A story of love too hurt to hold.
I see your face in every tear,
A fleeting ghost that lingers near.
Memories whisper like autumn’s breeze,
Of softer times and gentler seas.
We tried, oh how we tried to stay,
But the cracks grew deeper every day.
Sometimes love is not enough,
When hearts grow tired, and life gets rough.
So here’s my farewell, tender and true,
A piece of my heart will stay with you.
Though we’re apart, I hope you’ll find,
Peace in the quiet, and love, unconfined.
