You came into my life, a bundle of light,

With gentle paws and eyes so bright.

Only four years, yet you gave me more,

Than many hearts could in decades store.

You chased the days with boundless cheer,

A loyal friend who stayed so near.

Your bark, your warmth, your playful ways,

Are etched in me for all my days.

But fate was cruel, it called too fast,

And left me holding memories vast.

The road grew quiet, the house turned still,

Yet my love for you grows stronger still.

Shiro, my boy, you’re gone from sight,

But in my dreams, you run at night.

A guardian star, you softly glow,

Guiding me through the ache I know.

Though four short years were all we shared,

A lifetime’s love was fully bared.

Sleep gently now, my dearest friend,

Our bond is one that will not end.
