What Depression Feels Like?

What Does Depression Look Like

A heavy blanket, cold and grey,

Dims the hues of night and day,

Where once was light, now shadows creep,

In this land where sorrows seep.

The sun outside, unseen, unfelt,

As in this gloom, one's spirit melts,

A world so close, yet far away,

Where hope's faint glimmer fades to grey.

Invisible chains, a silent scream,

A waking life that feels like dream,

Where joy is but a distant tale,

And every breath's a weary gale.

Yet in this void, a faint spark glows,

A whisper that the heart still knows,

That beyond this night, however deep,

A dawn awaits to break the sleep.

For though this pain may cloud the view,

Each step, each breath, can feel anew,

A journey long, through darkest night,

Towards a future, perhaps bright.

So in the depths, hold fast, hold tight,

To dreams unseen in this long night,

For even in depression's grip,

There lies a chance for hope to slip.
